Mark Shepard is an artist and architect whose work
integrates film, architecture and technology. His independent work has been exhibited at museums,
galleries and arts festivals internationally, and has been supported
by the New York State Council on the Arts, the Experimental Television
Center, the U.S. Department of Education, the British Council of Berlin;
USIS BERLIN/Amerika Haus; and the Brandenburg Ministry of Economics, Culture
and Technology. Mark received a Masters of Science in Advanced Architectural
Design from Columbia University; a Masters of Fine Arts from Hunter College,
City University of New York; and a Bachelors in Architecture from Cornell
University. He is a co-founder of dotsperinch - a collaborative network of artists,
architects, and technologists. Carlos Tejada designs environments that engage the
hand, heart and mind. As much an architect as a digital craftsman, Carlos'
queries extend across graphic, industrial, and architectural design disciplines,
enabling him to weave narratives through a range of visual, tactile and
spatial languages. Prior to dotsperinch, Carlos was a practicing architect.
Working with Lee Robinson Roesch, Inc., he was responsible for preparing
and updating details and drawings for the 32,000-square-foot Regenstein
Small Mammal-Reptile House at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. The house
features roughly 200 small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates
and birds, coexisting in naturalistic, mixed-species habitats. Carlos
has a Bachelors of Architecture from the Cooper Union for the Advancement
of Science and Art. He is a co-founder of dotsperinch - an collaborative network of artists,
architects, and technologists. Andy Kim has a bittersweet relationship with technology.
Andrew's interests converge at the intersection of aesthetic creativity
and high technology. Graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a
degree in Computer Science, Andrew currently resides in Seoul, Korea where
he has grown a taste for spiced-fermented cabbage. Aside from spiced vegetables,
Andrew is nurturing his curiosity in typography, Go, and trip-hop music.
Andrew also currently works for IBM's Pervasive Computing Group. Victor Szilagyi is fascinated by the influence of communications technologies on society and
design. Graduating from New York University with a B.A. in Urban Design Studies
and Psychology, his honors thesis, "Cogs, Pulse Takers & Prairie Dogs" examined
how evolving information technologies have informed our understanding
of work and the shape of the workplace.
